"It was a great value for a family vacation. Best food was the beach barbeque and the other meal that was similar in style. Small beach but lovely rooms." – wahoo

Cheapest St lucia all inc. Resort on the island...
This was the Cheapest St Lucia all inc. Resort on the island. SO you pay for what you get. You can get more for your money if you go somewhere else like Mexico or Jamaica. The grounds was very nice a lot of flowers everywhere. The rooms where not that nice I expected better. The a/c was a wall unit and leaked all night on the floor. The beds where lumpy. I compare it with a cheap hotel like motel 6. The food was ok but not wonderful if you like sea food go to the sea side grill. The beach is not white its like black mud reminded me of sewage and is very rocky take swim shoes. I would not recommend Smugglers cove just for a Caribbean vacation because you can get more for money somewhere else but if you just have to go to St Lucia then this is the cheapest all inclusive place I found but its really not that cheap.
We travelled to Smugglers Cove on a special from CheapCaribbean.com and this was the most cost effective trip to St. Lucia. Eight nights including airfare from Chicago and transfers for under $3000 for two means the Smugglers Cove all-inclusive stay was about $200 per night (by my estimation). Yes, I see where this review is supposed to avoid mentioning "info that changes such as price and promotional details" but it is those "details" that made this trip such great value, not Smugglers Cove itself.
But although this resort isn't as deluxe as many on this expensive island, it delivers value. Good food, too much to drink, a nice beach with an interesting reef to explore, lots of sun and warmth. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful; I actually expected more problems as they had been on strike just a few weeks prior. Yes, there were minor problems such as a bed that squeaked at times and a bed headboard that wasn't attached to the bed so it clanked against the wall until I stuck a sock between the headboard and the wall. But small things like that aren't worth worrying about.
The reef is easily reached from shore and although I was initially disappointed that less than 10% of the coral survives, there is still a fair diversity in fish. Over the last 2 days as the water finally cleared, I saw 3 eels of two species, a huge flounder, a small (2 foot) barracuda, parrotfish and filefish, and numerous other reef fish.

Awesome!
My wife and I have been to several Carribean resorts and have found this resort to be overall fabulous. The food was absolutely amazing, For the money it was by far the most valuable vacationa we have had. Trust me it is worth it!
Big resort, nice grounds. Food selection limited. Beach is decent, never made it in the pools. Beautiful island, make sure to get out and see it. Spend a day in rodney bay, beautiful beach and good resturants. Make sure to go to Buzz for dinner.

The Almond Resorts in St. Lucia offer all inclusive reservations. You might also look at Aruba (the Riu Palace Aruba is all inclusive) or Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, where most resorts are all inclusive.

Hotel Description
Smugglers Cove, St. Lucia: A Fitting Oasis for Captain Jack Sparrow
Swabbin' the deck got ya down? Drop that mop, scallywags, 'cause yer ship has hit port! Smugglers Cove in St. Lucia offers all inclusive pampering, set in a village-style, 45-acre estate surrounded by pretty tropical gardens, a secluded bay and a private, 250-yard stretch of perfect beach.
This refuge makes Tortuga itself green with envy, sporting five pools, two of which are adults only (one with a swim-up bar). And for kids, a pool equipped with a 100-ft waterslide keeps the little sea rovers busy while you and your lass reclaim each other on a rainforest-sky ride in a gondola over breathtaking St. Lucia. Afterward, treat your taste buds to international cuisine, ranging from The Cove's all-day buffet to the Cajun flavors at Waterside Creole Grill to the precision of Cafe Asia's Far-Eastern delicacies.
If the sea calls to you, spring for the fare to climb aboard the Brig Unicorn, a 140-ft, 19th-century pirate ship showcased in the film, Pirates of the Caribbean. The Unicorn sails daily along the west coast from Smugglers Cove St. Lucia to Soufriere. Once there, tour Sulphur Springs, a drive-in volcano, and the stunning Diamond Falls before returning to the anchored vessel for an onboard lunch. If you prefer, board the Unicorn for an adults-only, sunset cruise with live music, hors d'oeuvres, champagne, rum punch and soft drinks.
Smugglers Cove Resort offers an array of activities for children of different age ranges. Activities include jewelry making and face painting for younger deck hands, and archery training for older swabs looking to make a name for themselves topside.
Smugglers Cove Resort provides live music nightly under the island stars in Smugglers' very own open-air theater. Night owls can sing to the latest hits at The Smugglers Pub & Sports Bar.
While the Superior Deluxe Beachfront Room offers a view of Smugglers Cove and the Caribbean, the Superior Deluxe Garden View Room is atop a gentle hillside, the perfect spot to watch a Caribbean sunset from a personal terrace or Japanese soaking tub. Who wouldn't walk the plank to get this one?
