St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino is on a surf-swept, four-mile stretch of sand located on the island's Atlantic side. The ferry to neighboring Nevis is four miles away. Resort highlights include three freeform pools, an expansive spa, oceanfront dining, and a 35,000-square-foot casino with a ceiling painted and lit to resemble a cloud-dappled evening sky.

The resort's lodging clusters around two large freeform pools, and now featuring a newly refurbished freshwater freeform main pool equipped with whirlpool and a swim-up bar. This sun worshipper's delight, together with our additional two "quiet" pools await your visit to offer a refreshing oasis amidst the resort's lush landscaping. Each pool includes a shallow children's section and is paired with a round, 20-person spa tub. Though the Atlantic Ocean often is too rough for safe swimming, the ochre-colored, 4-mile beach is both long and deep and features 84 permanent, blue-and-white, gazebo-like shades.

An atrium with massive wood beams soars four stories above marble floors and mosaic-tile inlays in the lobby and shopping arcade. Just beyond the granite waterfall-walls, stairs lead past a scaled-down replica of Columbus's Santa Maria and to an enormous plaza lit by wrought-iron street lamps.

Accessible by rented bicycle, a 10-minute walk, or complimentary shuttle, a quintessential beach shack serves grilled foods and tropical drinks alongside the Caribbean Sea. The spot is 1 mile from the resort across a flat, narrow strip of land that connects the central section of St. Kitts with its peninsula, both ruggedly hilly.

DINING / BARS:

PIZZA SHACK - Open for lunch and dinner serving homemade pizza and ice cream.
BLU - Capturing the romantic feel of the West Indies, this terraced oceanfront restaurant features fresh seafood in an airy setting. Open for breakfast and dinner. Closed on Monday's.
LA CUCINA - Air-conditioned dinner restaurant with Northern Italian choices and a wide selection of Italian and International wines. Reservations are required. Resortwear required for dinner. Closed on Tuesdays.
ROYAL GRILLE STEAKHOUSE - Warm and sophisticated, this "city-style" steakhouse serves succulent cuts of beef and seafood, along with an International wine list. Reservations are required. Open for dinner only. Resortwear dress code. Closed on Wednesdays.
CALYPSO RESTAURANT & CAFE - (closed until April 26, 2010 for renovations) A popular spot for family dining, Calypso features buffet and a la carte selections emphasizing local ingredients like fish, mangos, coconut and papayas. Reservations are required. Cafe and coffee bar in front with comfortable seating is open 24 hours a day (seasonal), serving sandwiches, pastries, and desserts. Open 7 days a week, three meals plus late night throughtout the summer.
BOHEMIA BAR & GRILL - This casual poolside retreat serves unbeatable salads, burgers, fries and frozen drinks. Stay cool at the swim-up bar or under the covered patio. (It will not be open for dinner for the month of June).
THE CLUBHOUSE GRILL - Located at the Royal St. Kitts Golf Club. Guests can toast to their success on the greens with towering burgers, frosty beer, soft drinks and lemonade. Reservations are required.
THE KEYS CIGAR BAR - Savor a fine Cuban or Dominican cigar and choose from a wide variety of aged rums, brandies and port in this relaxed atmosphere above the lobby. Outdoor terraced seating is also available. Backgammon, chess and other table games are available.
TIGERS NIGHTCLUB - Dancing to DJ music nightly and cocktails. Currently closed for refurbishing.
LOBBY BAR - Cocktails, tropical drinks, wine by the glass, and bar appetizers. Live piano music and/or jazz nightly.
CASINO BAR - Cigars, cocktails, sandwiches, burgers, ribs, chicken wings, and espresso drinks. Sports on television.

Hurricane Policy: Marriott International will once again ease wary summer travelers' concerns with "Marriott's Caribbean Travel Interruption Promise", protecting guests, and their precious vacation time, against the threat of a hurricane.

Guests holding a confirmed reservation with a nonrefundable deposit who are unable to travel to the hotel where they hold a reservation due to an airport or the hotel's closure related to the hurricane, have the option to choose either a full refund or a one-category room upgrade on their next visit to the same hotel within 12 months. These two options apply to room-only rates, promotions and packages. Reservations for comparable accommodations will be made on a space-available basis. This policy does not apply to delayed or cancelled flights due to severe weather or other conditions for any reasons except as identified above.

Guests who are registered at the resort whose stay is interrupted by a hurricane which directly hits the property (as defined and validated by the U.S. National Weather Service) will receive a certificate for a complimentary three-night return stay valid for two years from their original travel dates, including room and room tax. This return stay is based on availability and other applicable terms and conditions.
