Villa Anakao was built by people who've spent almost 20 years living on St Barths. Lucky for you, they are located just one house below, and here for your every need, should something be less-than-perfect during your stay. The villa is located up the hill from St Jean Bay, removing you from any noise of vehicles driving by or nightlife in the area. Of course, you're just a two minute drive away from it all should you feel a need to dance on tables with the beautiful people at Nikki Beach or enjoy a fabulous lunch or dinner at Eden Rock just on St Jean beach below! For all your shopping needs St Jean also contains plenty of amazing boutiques with everything from flip flops to designer clothes and the latest trendy beach wear from St Tropez and Paris. The villa is only five minutes away from the airport by car. Within a 10 minute drive you can find two well stocked supermarkets for all your groceries and beverages. The island's main town, Gustavia is a mere 10 minute drive and offers you an abundance of restaurants, shops, bars and of course, the "must see" marina where all the celebrities dock their yachts when they visit this paradise location.

Villa Anakoa is made up of three bedrooms. The master bedroom offers privacy and a king size bed. It is located off of the living/dining/pool area and has its own entrance as well as a private bathroom. Its like a little apartment of its own, therefore the villa can be rented as a one bedroom only, locking off the other two sleeping areas. This is ideal for a couple looking for the comforts of a home while traveling and wanting to enjoy all that St Barths has to offer but from a privacy of a quiet and romantic location. The master bedroom is fully air-conditioned and furnished with a king-size bed, two night stands, a desk and chair, an armchair and lamp. The adjacent bathroom has a toilet, a shower, one sink as well as a sizable closet.

The other two bedrooms also contain king size beds and are located together off of the living room area. The two bedrooms are connected to each other by stairs, creating a duplex arrangement - perfect for families with kids. Each of the two bedrooms is furnished with a king sized bed, two night stands with lamps, and space to hang your clothes. There is a bathroom that is shared by these two bedrooms right outside the door. This second bathroom also contains a shower, a sink and a toilet.

What is special about this home, and if you are new to St Barths this may be new to you, is its open-air floor plan. Although all three bedrooms are "regular" rooms with 4 walls and doors that close you off from the outside world, the living and dining area are uniquely different. Because you are located in an island where its hot 12 months out of the year, and the home is placed on a hill with plenty of wind, the open-air floor plan allows a natural breeze to blow throughout the living space all day long. The living room and kitchen make up one spacious room -- this room can be locked off by a screen door in the evening to prevent mosquitos from entering and spoiling your fun. This screen door creates a "moveable" 4th wall in a sense, because it is the length of the entire living room space. You can chose to open it during the day to let the breeze in, or close it in the evenings. Right outside this screen door is your dining room table with enough seating for 8 people. There is also a gas/electric BBQ grill for your usage. Adjacent to this area is an outdoor table and chairs for you to sit and enjoy a drink while you watch the sunset. Both of these areas are located under a roof but outside in open air. All this is just two steps away from your beautiful pool with 4 lounge chairs located next to it. It is the perfect place to take in some sun, relax, have a glass of champagne and take a leisurely swim, before you head out to enjoy the islands many beaches or restaurants for the day/night.

The villa comes with a garage big enough for two vehicles. Please note - the house is located very privately up a hill and therefore we recommend you rent a vehicle with 4 wheel drive. The villa sleeps 6 persons max. The kitchen is furnished with an American refrigerator, a microwave, an oven, a stove, a dishwasher, mixer, coffee maker, toaster and all the pots pans, dishes, plates, silverware and glassware you'll need. Not that you HAVE to do any cooking! There are just too many incredible restaurants to check out in the area! The living room is furnished with a flat screen cable tv (American and French channels), dvd player, cd player, Bose Ipod speaker, fax/phone, living room couches and a coffee table.

With all this awaiting in paradise, all that's missing is you! Don't know much about St Barths?! This is the perfect time to discover it. St Barthelemy is located in the French West Indies, and only a 10 minute flight from St Martin. French is the local language but English is spoken almost everywhere. Beloved by celebrities for years St Barths is very private and still somewhat "undiscovered" giving it that exclusive feel. The Euro is the major currency on the islands - US credit cards work just as well! Besides it many beautiful beaches St Barths is also known for its amazing cuisine. Typically French with a local twist, you can find many high end restaurants putting their own spin on gourmet meals or simply check out a burger joint or a thin crust pizza spot. Shopping here is also unlike that on most other Caribbean isles -- don;t come here for magnets and T shirts -- you'll stroll through the main town and find Dior, Chanel, Vuitton instead and cafes filled with plenty of beautiful people to watch while sipping your Kir Royal. Nightlife on St Barths can be quite lively in high season if you're looking to stay busy after the sun sets. Free transportation to and from the airport to the villa included. Car rental recommended - 4 wheel drive (Terios or jeep) is best as the villa sits up quite a steep hill. The villa comes with a garage large enough for two vehicles.
