The Belize Dollar is the local currency however, U.S. dollars are accepted as well as credit cards and traveller's checks. The official language of Belize is English, although Spanish is also found especially in the northern and western districts.

International flights land at Philip Goldson International Airport in Ladyville, 9 miles north of Belize City. U.S. airlines serving this destination include American, Continental, and Taca International. Please be advised that many destinations charge a departure fee. Entry Requirements

Visitors to Belize require a valid passport with a return ticket. US and Canadian citizens do not require entry visas. Citizens of countries other than the US or Canada are advised to check with their consulate for entry requirements into Belize.
